Explosive Bonding Metal dynamic cladding technology uses high energy from explosive detonation to produce a metallurgical weld between metal plates. It can produce high voltage pulse energy, pushing cladder collide with backer at a specific velocity and impact angle. That process produces much bigger stress than the yield strength of metal material. Electroylic Smelting of Aluminum
Inside the pre-baking electrolysis cell of electrolytic aluminium factory, anode group is mainly composed of aluminum guide rod, steel claw and graphite anode rods. And the aluminum guide rod and the steel claw is jointed by aluminum-steel explosive welding block (also called aluminum-steel transition plate, aluminum-steel transition joint).
Compared with the screw connection and conventional welding, aluminum-teel explosive welding block has the characteristics of small interface resistance, high combination intensity, high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and etc. It is the most ideal conductive transition joint materials in the electrolysis and power system.
Aluminum-steel Explosive Welding BlockDuring the installation and welding of anode group, the temperature of the trainsition joint between aluminum guide bar and steel claw can rise to more than 300 ºC. Before electrolyzing and during preheating, the temperature is 260 ºC in general; during the normal electrolyzing, the temperature is 200 ºC in genetral. The aluminum-steel explosive welding block produced by explosive welding technology can undertake such impact of the thermal cycle for several times.
