Hunan Sunward Science and Technologies Co., Ltd which is the subsidiary of Sunward Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd (listed corporation stock code: 002097) is dedicated to R&D, manufacture, sales, as well as operation of light manned aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in general aviation field. A variety of manned light aircrafts and UAVs have been developed to fill in the domestic blank. It has obtained more than 30 patents, undertaken many scientific and technological innovation projects at provincial and ministerial level, and acquired "Chinese Patent Award", "The First Chinese Industrial Design Excellence Gold Award", and other honors. In 2011, "Sunward Aurora", the light sport aircraft with full composite material, became the first light sport aircraft possessing national self-owned brand authenticated by China Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC). This company owns the light sport aircraft model license & production license issued by CAAC, qualifications for 147 aircraft model training & driver training of civil UAV system, exam organization for sport aircraft maintenance qualification, and sport driver license examiners. It is the rare high-tech private enterprise with all aforementioned civil aviation qualifications in China. After over a decade of industry accumulation and precipitation, it has formed a system of R&D, manufacturing, and general aviation operation with core competitiveness.
