Renault Brilliance JINBEI Auto Co., Ltd (RBJAC) was founded on December 15, 2017. The co-founders are global leading auto manufacturer Renault Group and Chinese Brilliance Group. Brilliance holds 51% of shares and Renault holds 49%.

Brilliance Automobile Group Holding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "brilliance group") is a key state-owned enterprise under the state owned assets supervision and Administration Commission of Liaoning Province, which is the main force of China's automobile industry. Its headquarters is located in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. The history of brilliance group can be traced back to the automobile repair factory of state-owned northeast highway administration established in 1949.
