13X (APG) special molecular sieve for air separation is a sodium-type aluminosilicate, the pore size of the crystal is 9Å (0.9nm), and it can adsorb any molecule smaller than 9A, so usually it can be used for the drying of general industrial gas and the purification (simultaneous removal of H2O and CO2 and some hydrocarbons) of feed gas in air separation units.
It meets the special requirements of the cryogenic air separation industry, improves the adsorption capacity of carbon dioxide and water, and avoids the phenomenon of freezing towers during the air separation process. It has the characteristics of high carbon dioxide adsorption capacity, low regeneration temperature and long service life.

Chemxin Molecular Sieve 13X is the sodium form of the type X crystal and has a much larger pore opening than the type A crystals. It will adsorb molecules with a kinetic diameter of less than 10 Angstrom (1.0 nm) and exclude those larger. It also has the highest theoretical capacity of the common adsorbents and very good mass transfer rates. It can remove impurities too large to fit into a type A crystal and is commonly used to separate nitrogen from oxygen.

Regeneration:
Chemxin molecular sieve Type 13X can be regenerated by either heating in the case of thermal swing processes; or by lowering the pressure in the case of pressure swing processes.
To remove moisture from a 13X molecular sieve, a temperature of 250-300°C is required. A properly regenerated molecular sieve can give moisture dew points below -100°C, or mercaptans or CO2 levels below 2 ppm.
The outlet concentrations on a pressure swing process will depend on the gas present, and on the conditions of the process.
Size:
13X - Zeolite are available in beads of 1-2 mm(10x18 mesh), 2-3 mm(8x12 mesh), 2.5-5 mm(4x8 mesh) and as powder, and in pellet 1.6mm, 3.2mm.

Attention:
To avoid damp and pre-adsorption of organic before running, or must to be reactivated.

Applications

Hand & Storage Recommendation:
It should be handled to avoid generation of dusty conditions at the workplace. Storage in a dry warehouse is recommended. Open packages should be resealed to prevent contamination and adsorption of water or other gases and vapors. The material in bag-in-box should be used within 12 months,while bag-in-steel drum should be used within 24 months.
Regenaration Method:
Guangdong Xintao molecular sieve can be regenerated by either heating in the case of thermal swing process or by lowering the pressure in the case of pressure swing process. Put the molecular sieve in a vacuum muffle furnace for 1 hour at 550ºC
