This kind of material has a wide usage such as chipboard flooring, chipboard loft panels, or furniture production, etc. And the melamine-faced chipboard is popular for decoration.
The chipboard screw is mainly used for woodworking. For this reason, the thread is deeper and bigger than the countersunk head screws for a larger gripping force in the wood material.On the other hand, the deeper the thread is, the bigger the deformation it makes on the material. For this reason, the chipboard screw is suitable for particle board or MDF board while the countersunk head screw makes smaller deformation driving into the sheet metal.
