Welded Wedge Wire Candle Filter Elements

Wedge wire screen tube, also called round slot tube. It is made of stainless steel wire, which is the most popular type because of outstanding chemical stability and corrosion resistance.
The wedge wire screen tube is composed of working profile and support profile. It is produced on an automotive machine. The support profiles is placed on the suit position of the machine, during the surface profiles are spirally wounding, the support profiles are welded onto the surface profiles.

Our range of welded wedge wire candle filters are ideal for removing particles of very small size up to 10 microns. These filters can be easily washed through a back flush of the steam. We also provide options for different attachments to meet the specific process requirements of the clients.

Based on the surface of wedge wire screen
There are two types of wedge wire screen tube seen from the surface. One is the normal type, which has continuous and regular angles on the edge. It is economical, which is suitable for applications where the accuracy is not very strict. The other type is the perfect round type. It is produced by the strict standard, which has better filtering accuracy than the common type. Additionally, the perfect round type can be used in the most precise machines and complete the arduous filtering task.



According to the position and direction of surface profiles and support profiles, the wedge wire screen tube can be divided into four types.

• Radial internal type. The filtering principle is flowing in to out. The support profile is radial.
• Radial external type. The filtering principle is flowing out to in. It is the standard type. The support profile is also radial.
• Axial internal type. The filtering principle is flowing in and out. The support profile is axial.
• Axial internal type. The filtering principle is flowing out to in. The support profile is axial.
