Product Introduction:
Polyacrylamide is a linear polymer. As a polymer dispersant or polymer flocculant, PAM can stabilize the system or flocculate the particles in the system. 1. Flocculation: PAM can make suspended substances through the electric neutralization, bridging adsorption, flocculation.
2. Adhesion: Polyacrylamide can bond through mechanical, physical and chemical action.
3. Resistance reduction: PAM can effectively reduce the friction resistance of the fluid, adding a trace of PAM in the water can reduce the resistance of 50-80%.
4. Thickening: PAM thickens under both neutral and acid conditions. When PH value is above 10, PAM is easy to hydrolyze. The thickening will be more pronounced when the structure is semi-reticulated.

1. Application in water treatment:
Polyacrylamide is mainly used as coagulant aid and flocculant in water supply treatment and sewage treatment. It has the advantages of reducing the amount of flocculant, improving the quality of wastewater treatment, increasing the efficiency of water treatment, reducing the generation of scale, protecting treatment equipment and so on.
2. Application in the oil extraction industry:
As a fluid loss agent, flocculant, diluent and plugging agent, polyacrylamide has important applications in drilling, acidizing, water plugging and tertiary oil recovery.
3. Application in paper industry:
Polyacrylamide is one of the most used chemical auxiliaries in paper industry. Anionic polyacrylamide can be used as pulp dispersant. Low molecular weight polyacrylamide can be used as paper strengthening agent. Medium molecular weight polyacrylamide was used as retention and filtration aid. High molecular weight polyacrylamide is used as flocculant in papermaking wastewater treatment.
4. Applications in other fields:
Polyacrylamide is not only widely used in the above fields, but also used as flocculant and filter aid in mining and metallurgical industry.
