VESTAMID stands for an entire range of polyamides with custom tailored properties. The manufacturer obtains the desired characteristics in the materials by chemical modification of the base polymer, or physical modification-by incorporation of glass fibers, or graphite, for example-or a combination of both. In this way The manufacturer is able to meet virtually any customer requirement with an extremely wide range of VESTAMID grades.

VESTAMID has proven its worth in a number of application fields over many years and its many variants are used mainly for durable and technically sophisticated applications.

VESTAMID is a range of polyamides with custom tailored properties. Desired characteristics can be obtained by chemical modification of the base polymer, or by incorporation of glass fibers, graphite or a combination of both.

The variety of VESTAMID grades available are as follows:
VESTAMID L series: Polyamides 12 (PA 12) based on laurolactam
VESTAMID D series: Polyamides 6,12 (PA 6,12) based on hexamethylendiamine and decanedioic acid
VESTAMID E series: Polyamides 12 elastomers (PEBA) based on laurolactam and polyether diols ((polyether block amides)
VESTAMID Terra: Polyamides based on renewable raw materials
VESTAMID Care: Polyamides for medical applications
VESTAMID NRG: Polyamides for oil and gas applications
