Explanation of cottonseed miscella refining technology and equipment
In the process of oil processing, the miscella refers to the process of refining the solvent and extraction oil in the leaching plant in a mixed state. The miscella can improve the quality of edible oil, increase the yield of edible oil, reduce energy consumption and reduce wastewater discharge. In the process of alkaline refining of mixed oil, a by-product Soapstocks is separated and contains a large amount of solvent. There is great danger in the process of storage, transportation and processing of solvent Soapstocks. In addition, the solvent in the Soapstocks can not be recycled, and the solvent consumption in the production of the oil will be improved, and the production cost is raised. Therefore, the technical bottleneck of soap removal has limited the popularization and application of the mixed oil refining process. China Yingkou Chenguang plant extraction equipment Co., Ltd., after three years of research and development, invented a set of mixed oil refining and soap stripping process and equipment. Technology explanation
The extracted miscella concentrated by first evaporator will be put in temporary storage tank,removing impurities from miscella by crude oil filter,then the miscella will go through flow speed control and measure,after that will be put in heater to increase temperature,then pumped multi-effect agent into the miscella,meanwhile fill in an certain amount of phosphoric acid and citric acid,put in tank waiting reaction,then be put in centrifuge to separate the oil and soapstock ,the heavy phase(soapstock with solvent)will become saponin after drying and desolvation,the saponin will be pumped to the pool outside of the workshop.The light phase(alkali miscella)be sent to the second evaporator and steam stripper ,and then washing,desolvation,after all of that we can get cottonseed alkali refining oil.
The theory of cottonseed miscella refining
Cottonseed Miscella refining is one of the important research and develop technology recent years domestically,the process principle is as follow:
Concentrate the cottonseed miscella extracted from extractor into a certain density by evaporation,then refine by filling in acid and caustic soda separately ,after that evaporateing again ,then washing and drying,deacidible oil finally come out.
In the course of miscella refining ,because of the non-polar solvent(normally hexane)exist that hinder the molecules of triglyceride fatty acid contacting with the strong acid and strong alkali,decrease breakage ration of molecule bond of triglyceride fatty acid,especially decrease the saponification between liquid alkali and triglyceride fatty acid,the refining loss have been highly reduced.In addition,the oil in miscella is not easy emulsified,the different density between miscella and saponin is bigger,the viscosity of miscella is lower,so that the saponin is very easy separated from miscella,also the neutral oil is less taken out of miscella ,improve the refine rate consequently.This technology need but only once caustic refining and centrifugation.Not only reducing the acid value and saponin residual in final oil but also the gossypol did not solidified by high temperature so that reaction with alkali becoming salt and removing easily ,therefore the oil color is easy reduced,refining loss is low ,refining yield is high,the quality of final oil is better.

Characteristic of miscella refining technology and equipment
1.Good quality of alkali refining oil:gossypol and other color matter in miscella have been effectively removed before solvent evaporation.Avoid the color solidification in high temperature,that is easy to remove the gossypol at alkali refining stage.
2.High yield of deacidible oil :miscella can not easily emulsified,the content of neutral oil in soapstock is low,decreased the refining loss,the miscella refining yield is 3-4% higher than traditional alkali refining.
3.Tteam consumption is low:(1)no scale formation at evaporation equipment,the effect of heat transfer is good ,reduce the steam consumption.(2)the crude oil need cooling first and heat again at refining workshop in traditional chemical refining method ,instead of miscella refining have no cooling step,miscella go directly into alkali refining program,miscella refining consume less steam than traditional alkali refining.
4.Oil residual in soapstock is low:the density between miscella and saponin is different more,the saponin and final oil are easy to be separated,neutral oil in soapstock is low.
5.Solvent residual in soapstock is low:the technology and equipment of solvent removing from soapstock is self-dependent innovation,ensure the solvent in soapstock ≤800ppm.
6.Longer life of evaporation equipment:the gossypol and other thermosensitive matter have been effectively removed before solvent evaporating away ,avoiding these element coking inside the equipment so that miscalla refining have benefit to equipment maintenance and equipment using life.
7.Security of operating :the equipment of centrifuge,conveyor pump etc.used in miscella refining are all anti-explosion type ,even the good seal,none leakage;the centrifuge is full of nitrogen when it is running ,the oxygen content in system is almost zero,the running is safe.
