| Introduction |
1.2738 die steel is a kind of die steel produced according to German DIN standard. It has relatively superior mechanical properties and good machinability in similar grades of steel. It is mainly used in the processing and production of hot working dies, among which plastic dies are the most widely used. In addition, the special pre hardening treatment of the steel makes it have better hardness when it leaves the factory, which can reduce the heat treatment link in the normal mold processing and production, and improve the economic benefit. |
2.Heat Treatment Process
Softening annealing
Annealing temperature 710-740 ° C. The heat preservation time is determined as per the wall thickness of every 25mm for 1 hour. After the heat preservation, it will be cooled with the furnace.
Stress relief
Heating temperature 600 ° C (annealed state), 550 ° C (quenching and tempering state), the heat preservation time shall be determined as per the wall thickness of every 50mm for 1 hour, and then cooled with the furnace after the heat preservation.
