Garnet abrasive sand is a naturally occurring silicate mineral deposit. The harder species of abrasive garnet, like almandine, are used for abrasive purposes due to their hardness on the Mohs scale of about 7 to 7.5, providing a perfect balance between cutting speed and superior edge quality.

Garnet sand is meticulously washed, processed, and screened to the necessary abrasive grade for use as an abrasive media in industries such as water jet cutting, sand blasting, and shot blasting. It serves as a safe alternative to silica sand, producing less dust and ensuring a safer working environment. When used correctly, abrasive blasting with Garnet offers comparable production rates to silica sand.

Garnet is a versatile sandblasting mineral derived from Almandite or Andradite deposits. It is ideal for both wet and dry sandblasting applications, providing a clean and fast finish. With a Mohs Hardness of 7 to 8, garnet is highly durable and cost-effective, offering excellent coating adhesion and low dusting.
