Spherical tungsten powder

1 Nature
The appearance is a gray black fine powder, with a melting point of about 3400 ºC and a boiling point of about 5555 ºC. The density is equivalent to 19.3g/cm3 of gold, with a hardness similar to diamond, strong reducibility, purity up to 99.9%, loose density of 11.6g/cm3, and compacted density of 12.5g/cm3. Under normal circumstances, the higher the degree of spheroidization of the powder, the smaller the particle size and the narrower the particle size distribution, the better the fluidity of the powder and the greater the loose density.
2 Production method
1) The product can be obtained by using tungsten powder secondary oxidation and reduction technology.
2) Production of spherical powder using the granulation sintering method.
3) It can be prepared using a rotating electrode DC arc plasma method.
4) Preparation of large particle powder from tungsten hexafluoride by vapor deposition method.
5) The product can be obtained by spheroidizing and gas cooling ordinary tungsten powder using an inductively coupled plasma torch.
3, Purpose
Spherical tungsten powder is the main raw material for the production of tungsten alloys, tungsten materials, and hard alloys. W powder can be mixed with other metal powders to make tungsten alloys; W powder can be processed to obtain tungsten materials such as tungsten rods, tungsten wires, and tungsten bars; W powder can be made into tungsten carbide powder after carbon treatment, and tungsten carbide powder can be made into hard alloy tools such as milling cutters, drill bits, and molds.
