Character: This pale pink, granular powder is freely soluble in water but insoluble in alcohol. It is odorless with a relative density of 2.95. It begins to lose crystal water when heated above 200°C, loses all crystal water at 280°C, and can become a salt melt anhydrous at 700°C. Decomposition occurs at 800°C, resulting in an insoluble back residue called Mn3O4, and complete decomposition happens at 1150°C.
