What is Breast Roll
The breast roll is the rotating roll on the headbox side of the Fourdrinier wire. It is driven by the mesh and must be rigid enough not to flex under mesh tension. The roll body is generally rolled with seamless steel pipe or steel plate, the surface is covered with rubber, and the thickness and hardness are determined according to the specific situation. The breast rolls must be equipped with scrapers so that the pulp blocks do not follow the rolls and get caught between the rolls and the mesh.
Structure
1.The breast roll is of tube roll structure, and sufficient rigidity and minimum deflection shall be applied to prevent copper mesh from wrinkling. In order to reduce the load of the chest roll driven by copper mesh, the weight of the breast roll should be light. Generally, the breast roll of small and medium-sized low-speed paper machines has no medium height, while that of large-scale high-speed paper machines is slightly medium high.2.Pipe roller, rolled with seamless steel pipe or steel plate, surface copper or hard rubber coated. Cast iron bulkhead and steel shaft head shall be installed at both ends. Rolling bearings shall be installed on the shaft. The bearing pedestal shall be provided with good waterproof sealing device. The breast roll shall be checked for dynamic balance or static balance according to the requirements.
