Strain clamps can be roughly divided into two categories based on their structure and installation conditions. Type 1: The tension clamp must withstand all the tensile force of the wire or lightning rod, and the gripping force of the clamp should not be less than 90% of the rated tensile strength of the installed wire or lightning rod, but it should not be used as a conductive body. This type of wire clamp can be removed after the installation of the wire and used separately. This type of wire clamp includes bolt type tension wire clamp and wedge type tension wire clamp, etc. Type 2: In addition to bearing all the tension of the conductor or lightning rod, the tension wire clamp also serves as a conductive body. Therefore, once installed, this type of wire clamp cannot be disassembled, also known as a dead wire clamp. As it is a conductive body, the installation of the wire clamp must be carried out carefully in accordance with the relevant installation operation regulations.
