Three-Phase Pad-Mounted Transformer Features
The Liquid-Filled Loop Feed Pad Mounted Transformer is an oil-filledthree-phase, commercial pad mounted distribution transformer specifically designed for servicing such underground distribution loads as shopping centers, schools, institutions and industrial plants. lt is available in both live front and dead front construction, for loop feed applications. with or without taps. The transformer uses aluminum or copper winding and is optimized to maximize efficiency and footprint. lt has many advantages: such as high voltage, no drifting of neutral point, low loss small volume, cost-effective, safety and environment protection. attractive appearance and etc.
Our Liquid-Filled Loop Feed Pad Mounted Transformer is designed andtested in accordance with industry standards (including CSA, ANSI C.57.DOE, and IEEE) as applicable.
A wide range of features and accessories is available to satisfy almost any special requirement, including fuses, surge arresters, gauges, controls, cooling fans, pressure relief devices, load-break switches, and high-voltage tap switches. In addition to the standard mineral oil, alternate insulation fluids, such as silicone and seed-based vegetable oil are available for special applications.

• Externally clamped universal high-voltage bushing wells for dead- front applications (three for radial feed operation or six for loop feed operation)
• HVconnection:Live front-external clamoed and removable HV bushing with
eyebolt,clamp type connector
• Externally clamped low-voltage bushings with threaded stud for full-load current through 1400 Amps, or externally clamped one-piece NEMA spade bushings for full-load current above 1400 Amps.
• Removable high-voltage /low-voltage neutral link, internally mounted and accessible through tamper-resistant hand hole
• Lifting provisions
• Removable terminal compartment and bottom sill, and removable doors with stainless steel hinges
• Removable hood with stainless steel hinges, and removable sill with stainless steel fasteners
• Three-point door latching system with recessed interlocking pentahead security bolt, and padlock provision.
• Recessed hood latching system with captive pentahead security bolt, floating nut, and interlocking padlock provision.
• Tank ground provisions
• Mild steel high-voltage /low-voltage compart-ment barrier
• Domed top surfaces on tank and terminal compartment to prevent water retention
• Recessed tank compart-ment bottom
• Oil fill/ oil level plug
• Oil drain plug for 500 KVA and below.
• Automatic pressure relief device mounted in terminal compartment.
• Oil drain valve with sampling device on 750 kVA and above
• Electrical grade mineral oil insulation fluid with oxidation inhibitor
• Laser engraved anodized aluminum nameplate
• Five-legged core/coil assembly.
• Self-acluating pressure relief valve.

• Externally-clamped porcelain high-voltage bushings with eyebolt connectors for live-front applications .

• Lightning arrester mounting provisions .
• Externally operable non-loadbreak high-voltage tap switch with one of the following tap ranges: four 2.5%taps above normal; or four 2.5% taps below normal; or two 2.5% taps above and two 2.5%taps below normal; or taps at
13800/13200/12870/ 12540 for transformers with a nominal high-voltage rating of 14400 (may not be available in combination with dual high-voltage switch)
• Externally operable dual high-voltage switch (may not be available in combination with high-voltage tap switch)

• Secondary termination:Externally clamped bushings with NEMA 4-hole, 6-hole, 8-hole, 10-hole or12-hole spades Spade supports are available. They are provided for 8-hole spades and larger
• Draw-out full-range current limiting fuses in dry-well canisters; with or without interlocking loadbreak switch .
• Arc Strangle* fused disconnect
• under-oil, elbow, or panel-mounted types (panel-mounted types are available on compartmental live-front units only)
• Drip shields for use with draw-out expulsion fuse

• Windshield:
Transformers may feature an optional Windshield over the cabinet which ishinged to allow clearance for replacement of the bayonet-type fuses.
The Windshield can be lifted easily into place and secured with a singlesupporting arm.
The Windshield requires no additional holddown hardware.
