Cautions in Using Maleic AnhydrideMaleic anhydride is a low-hazard chemical. Maleic anhydride is a skin and respiratory sensitizer. Workers exposed to maleic anhydride may irritate the respiratory tract, eyes, exposed mucous membranes and skin. Therefore, it is recommended that workers wear appropriate personal protective equipment to protect themselves. If unfortunately the skin is contaminated, the worker should wash it with water immediately. |
