Chemical Property/Description

Soluble in hot water and ethanol, slightly soluble in cold water. Aqueous solution and ethanol solution is golden yellow, in case of concentrated sulfuric acid is reddish yellow, dilution produces greenish-yellow precipitate, in case of concentrated nitric is yellowish-amber.

Production method: diazotization coupled with sodium salicylate: add 100g m-nitro to 400ml hydro acid and 1.5L water, heat and dissolve, cool to 0-5ºC, add 540g sodium dissolved in water saturated solution. Main Uses:

1.Commonly used 25% ethanol to 0.025% solution, as an indicator.
2.Used as acid-base indicator and chromatographic analysis reagent.
3.Reagent for chromatographic analysis. Add the medium. Sperm staining. pH indicator,pH color range 10.0(yellow) ~ 12.0(brown).
