Double wire fence, also called twin wire fence, is a kind of special welded wire fence. It is welded by two horizontal wires and a vertical wire. So it is stronger than the single wire fence. And double wire fence can be used with barbed wire and razor wire to further enhance the security.
Usually 868 & 656 are the most common types of welded twin wire panel fencing. The 656 Panel features twin galvanised horizontal rods 6mm finished diameter positioned either side of a 5mm finished diameter vertical. The 868 Heavy Duty Panel provides additional strength and features twin horizontal galvanised rods 8mm finished diameter positioned on either side of a 6mm finished diameter vertical rod to form a mesh pattern of 200mm x 50mm.
