Indication:
Prevention and long-term treatment of angina (cardiac pain caused by coronary artery disease);
Treatment of chronic heart failure with digitalis and/or diuretics.

Usage and dosage:Usage: This product should be swallowed whole with water.
Dosage: Unless otherwise prescribed by your physician, take the recommended dosage as follows:
One tablet a day (equivalent to 40mg 5-isosorbide mononitrate).If necessary, the dose can be increased to one tablet twice a day (equivalent to 80mg 5-isosorbide mononitrate).
To make full use of the drug, when the dosage is "one tablet once, twice a day", the second dose should be taken within 6 hours after the first dose.
Follow your doctor's instructions for the course of treatment.
If you forget to take the medicine, continue to take the normal dose the next time you take it, and do not cumulatively take a double dose.

Adverse reactions
Headaches (so-called nitrate headaches) often occur at the beginning of the treatment and usually disappear after a few days of continued use.
When initially administered and at increased doses, blood pressure is often bleeded and/or postural hypotension is associated with increased reflex pulse rate and a feeling of fatigue and dizziness.
Malignancy, vomiting, transient skin redness, and skin allergies are rare.
Rarely severe hypotension exacerbates angina symptoms.
Fatigue, occasional arrhythmias, bradycardia, and syncope have been reported occasionally.
Epidermal exfoliative dermatitis (inflammatory skin reaction) may occur in some cases.
Drug resistance and cross-resistance to other nitro compounds have been reported.Therefore, to prevent the loss or weakening of efficacy, high doses should be avoided.
When you experience any of these adverse reactions, please notify your doctor to determine the severity of the reactions and take appropriate measures.
If an allergy occurs, you should not take this product again.
Notify your physician or pharmacist when you notice any adverse reactions not mentioned above.
Note: Transient arterial hypoxia may occur after taking this product because of the relative redistribution of blood flow into the alveolar area of insufficient ventilation.In patients with coronary artery disease, this leads to myocardial ischemia

Taboo:
This product is prohibited in persons allergic to nitro-compounds.
It is forbidden in patients with acute circulatory failure (shock, circulatory collapse).
This product is disabled in patients with cardiogenic shock (intra-aortic counterpulsation or positive muscle strength not sufficient for left ventricular end-diastolic pressure).
It is forbidden in patients with severe hypotension (systolic blood pressure resists 90 mmHg).
Simultaneous u(trade name: VIAFRA) is prohibited, because does not enhance the hypotensive effect of this product.

Matters needing attention:
Take this product with special care when the patient has the following symptoms:
Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, constrictive pericarditis, and pericardial tamponade.
Low filling pressure, such as acute heart attack (left ventricular failure).Systolic blood pressure should be avoided below 90 mmHg.
Aortic and/or mitral stenosis.
Hypotension leads to a tendency to circulatory disorders (postural circulatory disorders).
Diseases associated with increased intracranial pressure (to date, further increases in intracranial pressure have been seen only after intravenous administration of high doses of nitroglycerin).
This product is not suitable for the treatment of acute angina or heart attack.
Impact on driving vehicle and machine operation:
Even if prescribed, the drug can affect responsiveness when driving a vehicle, operating a machine, and working without proper safety measures.This effect is further enhanced by increasing doses, changing medications, and alcohol use.

Medication for pregnant and lactating women:
Although animal studies have shown that isosorbide mononitrate does not harm embryos, due to insufficient experience in the use of this drug in pregnant and breast-feeding women, careful trade-offs should be made after use.
