Product Description

XHSC-60Q High voltage bridge for cable fault location, which integrates burn-through and smart bridge. In burn-through mode, the rated voltage is 60kV and the short-circuit current is 600mA, which can quickly burn high-resistance faults to low-resistance. The rated working current of the smart bridge is 600mA, which greatly improves the fault location accuracy. It is especially suitable for pre-location of insulation faults of high-voltage, large-section, and large-length complex cable systems, such as insulation fault location of complex high-voltage cables with GIS terminals and cross-connection, and can quickly complete the location without removing the GIS switch and short-circuit cross-connection.

Except for some short-circuit faults, the intelligent bridge for cable fault location can be used to locate all cable insulation and sheath faults.

Features

 

★The equipment adopts switching power supply to form a high-voltage constant current source, with high voltage and stable current.
★The bridge detection module and the large-screen display liquid crystal are placed at a high potential as a whole. The operating button on the panel is at ground potential, and the bridge is operated through an insulating rod.
★Specially customized four-core shielded high-voltage measurement cable, copper mesh braided shielding layer is reliably grounded and safe to use. The four-terminal resistance measurement method avoids errors introduced by lead resistance.
★The high voltage constant current source and bridge are integrated in a portable trolley plastic box. The equipment has high voltage, light weight and easy operation.

  1. Voltmeter:Output voltage in kV.

  7. Output selection dial: Select bridge output or burn-through output. Method: Rotate the turntable clockwise to expose the burn-through output socket and select the burn-through mode; rotate the turntable counterclockwise to expose the bridge output socket and select the bridge mode; only two gears can be rotated.
  8. Burn through instructions:Turntable switch The light is on when in burn-through mode.
  9. High voltage enable: Press this button to power off and the high voltage output will be disconnected. Rotate the button clockwise to pop up, and the device can resume normal operation.
  10. High voltage adjustment: Rotate clockwise to increase pressure, and vice versa to decrease pressure. It is interlocked with the high-voltage switch. Only when the knob returns to zero counterclockwise, the high-voltage can be switched on, and the bridge indicator or burn-through indicator is on before the voltage can be boosted.
  11. High pressure: Press this button, the button's indicator light is on, then high voltage can be output. If the switch cannot be closed, it may be that the high-pressure adjustment knob is not in the zero position or the high-pressure enable button has not popped up.
  12. Power switch: Turn the switch clockwise, the power indicator light is on, and the instrument is powered on.
  13. Set/Confirm: Bridge positioning operation button. In the LCD screen operation interface, turn the button clockwise or counterclockwise, the cursor will move accordingly, select the menu or input parameters, press the button to confirm the selection or modify the result.

Burn-through test / Withstand voltage test

 
  1. DC withstand voltage test
This equipment can do withstand voltage test. Unlike general withstand voltage equipment, it has no over-current alarm function. The insulation condition should be judged according to the readings of the voltage and ammeter.

(1)The red clamp of the output cable clamps the core under test, and the black clamp connects to the outer shielding layer.
(2)The protective ground of the instrument chassis should be reliably grounded, and the discharge rod should be carried along with it.

Turn on the power switch, select the turntable switch to burn-through mode, turn the emergency knob clockwise to bounce.

If the high voltage enable switch indicator does not light up, it may be that the high voltage adjustment is not at the zero position or the high pressure switch knob does not pop up.

When the voltage is close to the test voltage, slow down the adjustment speed and gradually adjust the voltage to the required value.
Observe the voltage and ammeter indications. If the current suddenly changes from small to large and stabilizes at a larger value, it indicates that the test product has broken down or has a large flashover. You should continue to apply voltage and wait for the residual voltage of the cable to drop to the required value.
 
  Off voltage:
Turn counterclockwise to adjust the high pressure back to zero→Wait for the reading of the voltmeter to be 0→Press the emergency knob→Turn off the power switch→Discharge rod discharge→After confirmation by another person, the stitches were removed.
For large-capacitance samples, the natural discharge is very slow. You should wait for the voltage to naturally discharge below 50% of the test voltage, then discharge with a special discharge rod, and finally hang the grounding wire.

Fault pre-positioning

*When using the bridge method, cross section method or intelligent voltage method for positioning, if the current is less than 20mA or the current is unstable, the positioning should be terminated. Use the equipment burn-through mode to burn high-resistance faults into low-resistance faults, and the current is stable, and then pre-position.

A. Insulation judgment
1. Connect the ground wire and discharge rod, and use the discharge rod to discharge the cable under test.
2. Use a multimeter and an insulation resistance tester to test the insulation resistance of the cable to be tested, and record the test results in detail. Perform a DC withstand voltage test on the cable to be tested in the burn-through mode of the equipment, observe the current and voltage values, and record the test results in detail. If the cable fault phase current is small or the current is unstable, use burn-through mode to reduce the fault resistance until the current is stable.
3. Record the cable length, cable core material and cross-section parameters to be tested.


B. Selection principle of bridge method, section method and intelligent voltage method
If the cable length is known, use the bridge method or the voltage comparison method; if the cross-sectional area and material are known, use the cross-section method.

The bridge method must meet the following conditions at the same time:
(1) The fault cable and the auxiliary cable have the same cross-sectional area and the same cable length;
(2) The far end of the cable must be short-circuited with a low-resistance short-circuit wire;
(3) The faulty cable has no broken core.

The section method must meet the following conditions at the same time:
(1) The faulty cable and the auxiliary cable have the same cross-sectional area and the same material;
(2) The remote end of the cable can be short-circuited with a low-resistance short-circuit wire or other low-resistance connecting wires;
(3) The faulty cable has no broken core.

The voltage comparison method must meet the following conditions:
(1) Known cable length;
(2) The conductor section of the faulty cable is equal and the material is the same;
(3) Test the voltage values of the two wiring methods, calculate the percentage of fault points, and calculate the distance of fault points from the known length.
