The main body of the moldboard plow is responsible for cutting, breaking, and turning over soil clods and ***s. It mainly consists of a plowshare, moldboard, plow side plate, plow support, and plow column. The moldboard, also known as the plow mirror, can be divided into integral type, combination type, and grid type. The plowshare, also known as the plow shovel, can be classified into triangular plowshare, trapezoidal plowshare, and chisel-shaped plowshare (or classified as triangular plowshare, equal-width plowshare, unequal-width plowshare, and plowshare with side rails). The moldboard and plowshare form the curved surface of the plow body, which can be categorized into three types: rolling clod type, jumping clod type, and rolling-jumping clod type, based on the characteristics of soil clod movement during plowing. The rolling clod type can be further divided into soil-breaking type, general type, and soil-turning type, according to their different soil-breaking and soil-crushing effects.
