High specific gravity tungsten alloy material is a kind of tungsten matrix (W content 85-99%), and add Ni, Cu, Co, Mo, Cr and other elements of the alloy. According to alloy composition characteristics and uses are divided into W-Ni-Fe, W-Ni-Cu, W-Co, W-WC-Cu, W-Ag and other main series, its density is adjustable between 16.5-19.0 g/cm3. General large, shaped parts are produced by isostatic pressing technology, the use of molding, extrusion and injection molding technology to produce small products, the use of forging, rolling production and processing of bars and sheets.

Advantages:

Specific weight: the general proportion is 16.5-18.75g/cm3;
High strength: tensile strength of 700-1000Mpa;
Strong ability to absorb rays: its ability is 30-40% higher than lead, and no harm to the environment and health;
Large thermal conductivity: 5 times that of die steel;
Small coefficient of thermal expansion: only 1/2-1/3 of iron or steel, good conductivity;
It has good weldability and is easy to cut.

Purpose:

It is mainly used for aerospace gyroscope rotor, counterweight, shock absorber, armor piercing core of conventional weapons, radiation shielding devices and components, die-casting mold for mechanical manufacturing, flywheel and automatic watch pendulum, contacts and electrodes and other counterweight parts.

Metal Injection Molding (MIM) produces high weight alloy products

Metal and ceramic powder injection molding technology is a new manufacturing technology that combines powder metallurgy process with plastic injection molding process. The process technology is suitable for mass production of small, precise, complex and with special performance requirements of cermet parts manufacturing, our company uses this technology to produce a variety of specifications of high-gravity alloy products.

MIM process features:
1. High degree of freedom of parts geometry, uniform density of parts, high dimensional accuracy, suitable for manufacturing complex geometric shapes, precision and small parts with special requirements (0.05g-200g);
2. Good alloying flexibility, for hard, too brittle, difficult to cut materials or raw materials casting segregation or pollution parts, can reduce manufacturing costs;
3. Stable product quality, reliable performance, relative density of products up to 92-98%, carburizing, quenching, tempering and other treatment;
4. The typical tolerance of machined parts is ±0.05mm;
5. Short process flow, high production efficiency, easy to achieve mass production.
