When car owners find abnormal noise in the steering rack during daily driving, they do not necessarily need to be replaced. Taizhou Dongna believes that it mainly depends on what causes the abnormal noise in the steering gear to determine whether it is necessary to replace it. Insufficient power steering oil will cause abnormal noise in the steering rack. In this case, there is no need to replace the steering rack. Adding power steering oil can solve the problem. Too dirty power steering oil can also cause it. Just replace it with new power steering oil. If the power steering pump fails and cannot be repaired, you will need to replace the steering rack with a new one. The price of replacing the steering rack is generally around 600 RMB to 3,000 RMB, mainly depending on the car model and whether the original parts, after market parts or refurbished parts are replaced. The price difference will be relatively large. Whether it is dangerous to continue driving when the steering rack is broken mainly depends on how the steering rack is broken. If the steering gear is broken due to oil leakage or oil leakage, there is no danger in continuing to drive. Taizhou Donna recommends the correct way to turn the steering wheel:
1. Avoid turning the steering wheel in place, and try to turn the steering wheel after the vehicle has moved. Turning the steering wheel in place can only be used occasionally when maneuvering the vehicle out of position under special circumstances.
2. When the vehicle comes to a stop, the steering wheel should be returned to the center position to prevent the suspension system and tires from bearing load.
