1. Overview of GH3536 (HastelloyX) nickel-based superalloy:

GH3536 is a nickel-based superalloy with high iron content mainly strengthened by chromium and molybdenum solid solution. It has good anti-trophic and corrosion resistance properties. Good hot work formability and weldability. Used in the manufacture of combustion chamber parts and other high-temperature parts of aero-engines, long-term use below 900 °C, and short-term operating temperature can reach 1080 °C. The main varieties supplied are plates, strips, pipes, bars, forgings, rings and precision castings.

5. GH3536 heat treatment system: sheet and pipe: 1130~1170ºC, rapid air cooling or water cooling; bar and ring parts inspection sample: 1175ºC±15ºC, air cooling or faster cooling; strip: 1065~1105ºC, rapid cool down.

6. GH3536 Varieties, Specifications and Supply Status: Plates with δ0.5~4.0mm, strips with δ0.05~0.8mm, pipes with outer diameters of 4~20mm and wall thicknesses of 1.0~2.0mm, and pipes with diameters of 0.2~10.0mm Welding wire, rods with diameter ≤300mm, rings of various diameters and wall thicknesses, and precision castings of different shapes and sizes. Sheets, strips and pipes are supplied after solution treatment and pickling, and strips can also be supplied in cold rolled state; welding wire is delivered in coils in hard, semi-hard, solution-plus-pickling, and bright solution-treated states , can also be delivered straight; bars and rings are delivered without heat treatment. Precision castings are supplied in as-cast condition.

7. GH3536 smelting and casting process: adopt electric arc furnace plus electroslag or non-vacuum induction furnace plus electroslag remelting process. To produce castings, an induction furnace is used to remelt the mother alloy and then pour it into a heated mold shell, and the pouring speed should be faster.

8. Application overview and special requirements of GH3536: This alloy has been widely used in foreign aero-engines and civil industries. It is mainly used in the manufacture of combustion chamber parts and other hot-end parts and honeycomb structures in China. The alloy has a certain age hardening phenomenon after long-term use at high temperature.

GH3536 alloy is mainly used for chromium and molybdenum solid solutions with high iron content in nickel-based superalloys. It has good anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion properties, moderate durability and creep strength below 900°C, and good cold and hot forming and welding properties.

It is suitable for manufacturing aero-engine combustion chamber parts and other high-temperature parts, which can be used for a long time at 900°C and a short-term working temperature of 1080°C. Alloys that can withstand certain stress and have oxidation or corrosion resistance at high temperatures of 600-1200 °C. According to the matrix elements, it can be divided into iron-based superalloys, nickel-based superalloys and cobalt-based superalloys.

According to the preparation process, it can be divided into superalloy deformation, casting superalloy and powder metallurgy superalloy. According to the strengthening method, there are solid solution strengthening type, precipitation strengthening type, oxide dispersion strengthening type and fiber strengthening type.
