The mass-produced version of the car has returned to normal rearview mirrors, featuring hidden door handles and protruding roof components, indicating that the car will provide optional LiDAR to ensure more advanced driving assistance related functions.
In terms of size, the Galaxy E8 measures 5010/1920/1465 millimeters in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2925 millimeters, which is close to the size of the BYD Han EV on the market. It is inevitable that it will be compared with it in the future when it is launched.
Geely Automobile officially announced that the front row of the Galaxy E8 will be equipped with a 45 inch 8K display screen, with an effective display area size of 1130 millimeters * 138 millimeters. Its width is the widest among current mass-produced models, and its height is equivalent to the current mainstream mobile phone screen size. It can not only allow drivers to maintain a maximum 88 degree wide-angle view when looking at the screen, ensuring a visual experience, but also effectively avoid visual interference caused by rearview mirrors, ensuring driving safety.
The large screen also adopts an ultra-thin design, with a thickness of 9.8 millimeters. By combining the touch glass and display screen, as well as the cover plate and functional film, the screen has achieved an 8mm narrow black edge, with a screen to body ratio of 98%. It has also undergone design treatments such as anti glare, anti fingerprint, waterproof, and dustproof. The car infotainment system will also support gaming applications, which can be controlled through a mobile phone or controller. In P mode, users can use this screen to play games.
In terms of power, the Galaxy E8 is expected to be equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The early declared models will be driven by a single motor, with a maximum power of 200 kW. It is expected to provide 18 inch and 19 inch wheels for selection
