Applicable to pneumonia caused by sensitive bacteria and other lower respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, meningitis, sepsis, abdominal cavity infection, pelvic infection, skin and soft tissue infection, reproductive tract infection, bone and joint infection, etc. Cefotaxime can be used as the drug of choice for infantile meningitis.

Usage.
Adult 2 ~ 6g per day, divided into 2 ~ 3 times intravenous injection or intravenous drip; In severe cases, the maximum dose per day should not exceed 12g, 2 to 3g every 6 to 8 hours. Treatment of uncomplicated pneumococcal pneumonia or acute urinary tract infection, 1g every 12 hours.
50mg/kg every 12 hours for neonates less than or equal to 7 days old, 50mg/kg every 8 hours for neonates older than 7 days old. The dose for meningitis patients can be increased to 75mg/kg every 6 hours, all given intravenously.
The dosage of this product should be reduced appropriately in patients with severe renal dysfunction. When serum creatinine level exceeds 424μmol/L(4.8mg) or creatinine clearance rate is lower than 20mL /L, the maintenance amount of this product should be halved; When serum creatinine exceeded 751μmol/L(8.5mg), the maintenance level was 1/4 of the normal level. Patients requiring hemodialysis 0.5 ~ 2g a day. However, one dose should be added after dialysis.
