An electromagnetic flow meter, also known as a magnetic flow meter, is a type of instrument used to measure the flow rate of conductive fluids, typically liquids, in a pipe or conduit.
The basic construction of an electromagnetic flow meter consists of a flow tube or pipe section through which the fluid flows and a pair of electrodes mounted perpendicular to the flow direction.
Electromagnetic flow meters offer several advantages. They are relatively unaffected by changes in fluid density, viscosity, temperature, or pressure. They can handle a wide range of flow rates and are suitable for both clean and dirty liquids. Additionally, they do not have any moving parts, making them low-maintenance and highly durable.
