Oleic acid uses

Oleic acid is an indispensable nutrient in animal food. Its lead salt, manganese salt and cobalt
salt are paint driers; Aluminum salt can be used as fabric waterproof agent and thickener of some
lubricating oils; Copper salt is a preservative for fishing nets. Epoxy oleate (Plasticizer) can be
produced by epoxidation of oleic acid. Azelaic acid (raw material of polyamide resin) is prepared
by oxidative cracking.
In wool textile industry, it is used to prepare antistatic agent and lubricating softener. In the wood
industry, it is used to prepare paraffin emulsion of water resistant agent. Azelaic acid is prepared
by oxidation. It can also be used as pesticide emulsifier, lubricant, printing and dyeing assistant,
industrial solvent, release agent, metal mineral flotation agent and oil hydrolysis agent. It is used
to prepare carbon paper, typing paper, ball pen oil and various Oleates. As a chemical reagent, as
a chromatographic comparison sample and for biochemical research, verify calcium, ammonia and
copper, and determine magnesium and sulfur. Activates protein kinases in hepatocytes.
The 75% alcohol solution of oleic acid can be used as rust remover.
