A two-stage friction damper is a device used to absorb and control vibrations. A double-stage friction damper works similarly to a single-stage friction damper, but it has a higher damping capacity. When the vibration amplitude increases, the second friction surface will also participate in the damping effect, providing greater damping force. This dual-stage design allows the friction damper to provide better control at different vibration amplitudes.
