INDICATIONS
Cefotaxime sodium for injection, this product is suitable for respiratory tract infections, soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, sepsis, etc. caused by penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (except methicillin-resistant) and sensitive gram-negative bacilli. Combined use with aminoglycoside antibiotics, but should be alert to the possibility of aggravating nephrotoxicity. This product should not be used in patients with bacterial meningitis.
Adverse reactions
- The local pain of intramuscular injection is more common, and there may be lumps, tenderness and temperature increase. The incidence of thrombophlebitis after high-dose or prolonged intravenous infusion of cefotaxime can be as high as 20%.
- The more common adverse reactions are rash, eosinophilia, drug fever, serum sickness-like reaction and other allergic reactions.
