Today,public transportation is increasingly required to serve more passenger.More and more Electric Buses are widely used in cities for their environmental friendly properties.But for the electric buses running at high frequency,the risk of getting thermal runway and catching a fire is rising.
It is first necessary to monitor and manage the thermal runaway of the battery of electric buses, and to warn and cool down the abnormal temperature for the passengers' safety.To this end, PRI-SAFETY designed intelligent automatic temperature control and fire suppression systems for Electric Buses and Coaches.The systems focus on solving the fire problems that the battery compartment of the new energy bus is easy to have under high temperature.
How to work?
1.During a fire,the temperature detector detects an abnormal battery temperature and show the temperature to driver.
2.And then the system issues a thermal runaway alarm and activates the first bottle of extinguishing agent to jet cooling to control temperature and to allow passengers get free from the bus safely.
3.Increasing temperature rising reaches its upper limit and eventually catches a fire.At the same time,the system releases the second bottle of extinguishing agent automatically to put out fire.
4.When the fire is completely suppressed, driver can remove the abnormal battery safely to an explosion-proof cooling box.
