17-7PH
Austenitic-martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel
17-7PH is an austenitic-martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel developed on the basis of 18-8CrNi, also known as controlled phase transformation stainless steel.
Chinese name: 17-7PH
Chinese grade: 07Cr17Ni7Al
Chemical composition: C Si Mn Al
Properties: Austenitic-martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel
Name: Precipitation hardening stainless steel
Standard: AISI, ASTM
Model: 17-7PH(631)
UNS number: S17700
Basic Information
After solution treatment, it is an unstable austenite structure with good plastic toughness and workability. After adjustment, the austenite precipitation carbide composition changes, and then after martensitic transformation, most of the structure is transformed into toughness. Better low-carbon tempered martensite, this state is the use state of steel, and has good mechanical properties at medium temperature. Corrosion resistance is better than general martensitic stainless steel.
Chemical composition:
Carbon (C)≤0.09,Manganese (Mn)≤1.00, Nickel (Ni) 6.50~7.75, Silicon (Si)≤1.00, Phosphorus (P)≤0.035, Sulfur (S)≤0.030, Chromium (Cr) 16.00~ 18.00, aluminum (Al) 0.75~1.50
Chinese brand: 07Cr17Ni7Al 0Cr17Ni7Al
Physical properties of 17-7PH:
Density: 7.65g/cm³
Melting point: 1415-1450ºC
17-7PH alloy has the following characteristics:
Hardened stainless steel, high strength, high hardness, fatigue resistance, good corrosion resistance, good die forging.
17-7PH application areas:
For aerospace, chemical, petrochemical, paper and metal processing.
Japan SUS631 (17-7PH National Standard 0cr17Ni7al) is a dispersion hardening stainless steel with high strength, high hardness, fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance, good forging properties, and less deformation at high temperature. It is especially suitable for the aerospace field. This special alloy is also suitable for Other areas with high strength and corrosion resistance requirements. When the high temperature reaches 316ºC, the spring performance is still very good. SUS631 is used in aerospace, chemical, petrochemical, paper and metal processing industries.

The application of superalloys in the civil industry is also more and more extensive. Superalloys have important applications in gas turbines, automotive turbochargers, nuclear power, petroleum and petrochemical industries. The advancement of industrialization and the development of domestic high-end equipment manufacturing will continue to drive the demand for superalloys in the civilian industry. At present, civilian superalloys account for 20% of the total demand, and this proportion is expected to continue to increase in the future.
