Aramid fiber possesses exceptional molecular low creep and stress relaxation as well as low thermal shrinkage at extreme temperatures. It is highly resistant to acids, alkalis and organic solvents and is not vulnerable to damage caused by steam or sea water. It has a melting point of 930° F and a loss of strength at 500° F.
