Brown Fused Alumina is produced by the smelting of Calcined Bauxite in
an electric arc furnace at temperatures greater than 2000C.

grinding wheels, sandblasting, precision casting.
Application
Brown fused alumina is an essential component used in production of bonded abrasives (grinding wheels) and coated abrasives (sandpaper), refractories, industrial floors. Brown fused alumina is reusable in compressed air blasting. It is a pure and very hard abrasive. Aluminium oxide is used to anchor pattern creation prior to coating or bonding, rust, scale removal, sweeping, matte surface finish of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, glass, stone and other surfaces.

Aluminum oxide is a very hard and sharp abrasive that cleans rapidly. It leaves an anchor profile prior to coating and is suitable for removal of scale, rust and old coatings. Furthermore, it is used for ceramic grinding wheels, refractory applications and polishing and grinding.
