Fluon ETFE is a melt-processable copolymer. Fluon ETFE possesses a unique combination of desirable properties such as higher resistance to heat and chemical attack and outstanding physical toughness. It is processable by conventional extrusion, injection molding, roto-molding, roto-lining, and electrostatic coating.
The mechanical and electrical insulation properties of Fluon ETFE are outstanding. It maintains stable mechanical and electrical properties while exposed to temperatures ranging from -200°C to +150°C. Superior tensile elongation and strength ensure no breakage by impact at room temperature. It is even resistant to low-temperature impact down to at least -80° C. Tolerant to almost all chemical agents and solvents,AGC Fluon ETFE resins are also resistant to ultra-violet light, ideal for outdoor applications.
Benefits:
High resistance to heat: Fluon ETFE has a continuous use temperature of 150°C.
Excellent chemical resistance
Outstanding physical toughness: Fluon ETFE has better physical properties than most other fluoropolymers.
Low smoke and flame characteristics: Fluon ETFE is rated 94 V-0 by Underwriters Laboratories Inc.
Outstanding resistance to weather and aging
Good dielectric properties
Non-stick characteristics
Applications:
Wire & cable (automotive, industrial, aerospace, transit, and appliance markets)
Film and sheets
Tubing and pipe
Electronic components
Electrostatic and roto-molded vessel linings
Valves, fittings, and pump housings
