Choose storage box material by load and environment: PP plastic suits damp or heavy use, fabric works for closets, and paperboard fits light indoor storage. Check wall thickness, handle strength, stack groove depth, and whether the box keeps shape when full.
Stackable storage boxes need flat lids or nesting rims, stable bottom corners, and matching size tolerances. Test a loaded stack for sidewall bowing and lid pressure marks, especially when cartons will be palletized.
Inspect storage boxes for flashing, warped walls, weak handles, odor, uneven color, lid fit, and drop-test cracks. For mixed sizes, use clear carton labels so warehouse teams do not confuse similar box dimensions.
