Audited Supplier Diesel engines are generally equipped with DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalytic Converter). DOC is generally encapsulated in the exhaust pipe, and its structure is composed of the honeycomb substrate. Honeycomb substrates are generally made of ceramic or metal materials. The surface of the substrate is coated with platinum precious metal, which has two functions:
1. Platinum metal can well adsorb various automobile exhaust gases, including oxygen that is not involved in combustion. Oxygen is the core of the "catalytic oxidation" function of DOC and post-treatment components.
2. Platinum-based metals as catalysts can reduce the oxidation temperature of oxides.
