Sullair temperature control valve is the core temperature control element for adjusting the air compressor oil temperature and exhaust gas temperature.
The Sullair temperature control valve is installed on the main oil pipe of the oil and gas separation tank to adjust the flow of air compressor oil according to the oil temperature.
When the oil temperature measured by the temperature sensing element of the temperature control valve is lower than the action value (the action value of the temperature sensing element varies with the type of lubricating oil, the sullube is generally 83, and the 24KT is usually 90), the lubricating oil directly enters the screw host for lubrication, Avoid damage to the screw due to insufficient lubrication during a cold start.
When the oil temperature measured by the temperature sensing element of the temperature control valve is higher than the working value, the thimble of the temperature control valve pushes the valve core to gradually open the bypass circuit, so that part of the lubricating oil enters the cooler for cooling and mixes with the straight-through lubricating oil to reduce the oil temperature. Then enter the screw host.
When the temperature rises high enough, the oil circuit directly leading to the main engine will be closed by the temperature control valve, and the lubricating oil will flow into the main engine after being cooled by the cooler to avoid damage caused by excessive temperature. The oil temperature of the screw host changes sharply.

Sullair temperature control valve maintenance:

1.Stop the machine for 10-20 minutes, observe that the P1 pressure drop is 0, and the air compressor oil in the oil circuit system completely returns to the oil and gas separation tank.

2.Remove the connecting bolt of the temperature control valve, remove the sealing ring, and carefully extract the temperature control valve core.

3. Clean the surface of the temperature control valve body, replace the new spool and sealing ring with the same specification, and reassemble the bolts for fastening.

Maintenance of temperature control valve: Disassembly

1.Remove the pipe connected with the valve body;
2.Remove the four bolts connecting the upper and lower valve bodies;
3.Remove the gasket;
4.Connect the temperature control element.

The installation:

1.Grease the new sealing ring and put it into the valve body;
2.Push the temperature control element into the upper valve body until the sealing ring is fully connected with the top;
3.Put on the new gasket;
4.The upper and lower valve body fixed, bolt tightening torque 30-40N-m;
5.Reconnect the pipes.

Tips:
 This is only a part of the part numbers, many oil separator filters P/N are not listed, in addition there are replacements filters for many other air compressor brands.
