Inconel 625, a Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum alloy with low Carbon and Niobium addition, has superior resistance to high temperature effects such as oxidation and carburization as well as to a wide range of corrosive environments of unusual severity, especially resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Typical applications for inconel 625 are seawater applications, aerospace components, chemical processing equipment, nuclear water reaction components.

After annealing, the low carbon alloy 625 is widely used in the chemical process industry. It has good corrosion resistance and high strength. 625 alloy can be used in contact with seawater and high mechanical stress.
Typical application areas:
1 parts of an organic chemical process containing chlorides, particularly in the presence of acid chloride catalysts
2 cooking and bleaching pools used in the pulp and paper industry
3 flue gas desulfurization system in the absorption tower, heater, flue gas inlet baffle, fan (wet), mixer, deflector and flue, etc.
4 used in the manufacture of equipment and components used in acid gas environments
