1. The flameproof enclosure's structural integrity is paramount, as it must withstand the internal explosion pressures of explosive mixtures. Due to the demanding usage and transportation conditions, stringent standards are imposed on the shell material of mine flameproof motors. Typically, these motors use cast steel or steel plate welded structures. However, hand-held electric tools like coal electric drills are permitted to utilize aluminum alloy casings with magnesium content below 0.5%. This regulation ensures optimal safety while allowing for specific material use based on application requirements.
2. The channels transmitting explosion pressure and flame outside the motor are defined by the flameproof joint surface, where opposite surfaces of the flameproof enclosure parts align. Specific requirements for the minimum effective length, maximum clearance, and surface roughness of these joint surfaces depend on the motor's operational environment category and level. Typically, flameproof joint surfaces include: the interface between the casing and the front/rear end covers, the interface between the end cover and the bearing inner cover, the shaft hole of the bearing inner cover, the shaft, the junction box seat and its cover, and the interface between the junction box seat and the casing, as well as between the junction box seat and the insulated terminal seat. These precise specifications ensure comprehensive safety and functionality.
3. The flameproof joint surface between the motor shaft and the shaft hole is designed to operate without friction under normal working conditions. This feature maintains the motor's integrity and operational efficiency while safeguarding against potential ignition sources.
