Product Description

Longjing tea, also called Dragon well tea has been one of the most famous teas in China for a long time. This marvelous tea has been described in Lu Yu's Cha Ching (The Classic of Tea) as the four perfections - perfect color, taste, fragrance and shape. During the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Kang Xi was known to travel from the Forbidden City just to get a taste of the freshest Long Jing. This emperor grade Long Jing is made using very fine, first flush tea leaves.

Basis of Longjing tea's origins, they are classified into West Lake Longjing tea(also called Xi Hu Longjing tea) and Zhejiang Longjing tea. Xi Hu Longjing tea grows in majors areas of Meijia wu, Longwu, Longjing village around West lake of Hangzhou city, zhejiang province. Other Longjing teas growing out of Hangzhou are categorized into Zhejiang longjing tea. Their prices are greatly different due to different taste and aroma. The price range of Xihu longjing is from USD75.00 per kg to USD800.00 per kg. But Zhejiang Longjing tea is from USD15.00 per kg to USD150.00 per kg.
