Sodium hydroxide solution is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaOH and a relative molecular weight of 39.9970.

It is an important basic chemical raw material and has a wide range of uses. The chemical industry is used to manufacture formic acid, oxalic acid, borax, phenol, sodium cyanide and soap, synthetic fatty acids, synthetic detergents, etc. In the textile printing and dyeing industry, it is used as a cotton desizing agent, scouring agent, mercerizing agent and solvent for vat dyes and Haichang blue dye.
