Lucky Bamboo Plant   with other common names such as Curly Bamboo, Chinese Water Bamboo, Friendship Bamboo, Goddess of Mercy Plant and Ribbon Plant with a scientific name of Dracaena Sanderiana actually originated in the dark, tropical rainforests of Africa and Southeast Asia. Despite its common name ''Lucky Bamboo Plant'' this plant does not belong to Bamboo Family, it literally belongs to the family same as the Lily Plants.
It is a famous Feng Shui plant that represents the five elements (Earth, wood, water, metal, and fire) in each of its part. The rocks or pebbles stands for the earth, the stalks stand as the wood, the water stands for life, ornaments or coins symbolizes metal and lastly the colors red, burgundy or (sometimes) pink is for fire. Also, the number of stalks of each Bamboo plant symbolizes different beliefs in Feng Shui.

Sunlight   Set your Lucky Bamboo Plant in a bright area but away from the direct sun that comes in the windows. The temperature should be 60F to 90F.

 Water    Lucky Bamboo Plant has been very sensitive to chlorine and other chemicals that can be found in tap water but this doesn't mean that you can't use tap water for your plant. Let the tap water sit for 24hrs or more to allow the chlorine to evaporate and use it for your plant. To maintain healthy growth we encourage you to change the water of your plant weekly.
