Main structure and performance: Made of latex as the main raw material

Scope of application: For clinical temporary catheterization

Contraindications: 1. Those allergic to natural rubber should be used with caution; 2. Patients with severe urethral inflammation,
severe urethral stricture, acute prostatitis, and urethral rupture suspected to be related to blunt or penetrating trauma are
contraindicated.

Retention time: The recommended indwelling time of the balloon catheter is not more than 7 days, and the longest is not more
than 14 days.

Instructions:
1. Inform the patient or family of the reason, method, possible discomfort, methods to relieve discomfort, possible complications
and nursing cooperation after catheterization.
2. Check the specifications and models used and check whether the packaging is damaged or the catheter balloon is damaged.
3. Ask the patient to take a deep breath during intubation.
4. Disinfect the patient's perineum.
5. Choose a suitable lubricant to lubricate the catheter (the latex catheter cannot be lubricated with liquid paraffin oil and Vaseline).
It is recommended to use silicone oil or hydrophilic lubricant.
6. Gently insert the catheter, and then insert 5cm-6cm after seeing urine.
7. The balloon is injected with sterile water of appropriate volume, and the catheter is gently pulled outward until it encounters
resistance.
8. Connect the catheter to the urine bag and open the catheter.
9. After extubation, first use a syringe to drain the fluid in the balloon, close the catheter or drainage bag, and gently pull the catheter
out.
10. It is recommended to keep the syringe connected to the water injection valve during extubation, and slowly extubate the tube
when the balloon water is almost out.
