2.Key points about socket Shell:
1. The dimensional accuracy is higher, the installation of the socket plastic parts is higher, the accuracy of the socket part is higher, the precision tolerance of the gold finger square hole of the computer connector is 0.005, and the center distance tolerance is also 0.005. The general requirement is that the dimensional accuracy of the hole distance between the contact parts should be maintained at level 6.
2. Cap: The plastic parts of the electrical connector must be avoided for the tiny cap. Because any tip will fall into the product and accumulate dust, causing poor contact or short circuit.
3. Material selection, material must have sufficient mechanical properties, after the force creep becomes smaller, long-term use without warping, deformation. After heating up, the expansion is small. It has certain flame retardant properties.
Key points about the mold design for the Socket Shell:
1. The number of cavity: due to the high precision of plastic parts, the number of cavity is generally 1 ~ 4 points. No more than 4 points.
2. Insert points: Insert has high dimensional precision, and small inserts need grinding, so inserts must be cut and fixed with a hanging platform. The insert is cooled by alcohol to ensure dimensional accuracy. The insert hole is cut with the WEDM machine.
3. Selection of steel: Ordinary inserts can be made of SKD61, and precision grinding to size after heat treatment. Large cantilever inserts can be made of high speed steel, such as SKH51, etc. In the case of particularly high elasticity and strength, the Swedish steel Viking must be used for production. Its disadvantage is that the price is very high, and it is only used in export molds requiring long life.

3. Special Note:
Before mold design, we must first analyze the product and determine the reasonable direction of mold opening. For the bull socket shell, the difficulty of mold design is to determine the direction of the mold opening of the plastic parts. The cavity placement of the mold design is 2+2, and the two kinds of plastic parts are arranged in Z-shape side by side. The narrow groove at the bottom edge of the plastic parts needs to be designed to pull the core of the slider, and the slider is designed on the outside of the mold. The front and rear molds (cavity and core mold)are positioned with the tiger mouth twice fixing stand to ensure the accuracy of the mold.
The size of the two sockets of the slider design on the same slider, slider inserts are designed on the slider. The slide block is the rear die slide block. It is driven by T-shaped groove, and the oblique wedge is inserted into the moving die for backhoe, which is an effective measure to prevent the appearance of batch front.
The front die adopts the direct water transport, and the back die adopts the cooling method combining the direct water transport and the reservoir.
The packing force of the plastic parts on the moving mold is large, so the flat thimble is designed at the edge of the bone position and the thimble is designed at the other parts
