The liner plate, shown right, consists of ceramic tiles autoclaved onto a rubber and steel backing plate. These liners can be any shape or size, including curved, as specified by the customer.
The backing plate comes with a stud or studs pre-welded in. These studs can be placed anywhere on the plate as required.
As there is no rubber on the front wear surface, this stops the ceramic washing away, unlike in other ceramic liner plates.
The ceramic comes in different thicknesses, 4mm-75mm, depending on the application.
Ceramic liner plates are mainly used in chutes, deflector plates, impact areas, transfer point areas or any high wear application. Any application requested by a customer can be assessed and a solution provided.
They are quick and easy to change - the conventional way of cementing on tiles is time consuming due to the cement having to set before use.
They are good for impact areas - ceramic tiles cemented on are prone to cracks and can fall off.
Belle liners have a rubber layer between the steel and ceramic, this acts as a shock absorber and massively reduces the chances of cracks appearing.
As the autoclaving process bonds the ceramic and rubber, this reduces the chance of ceramic falling off.
Compared to stainless liners and NI Hard tiles of the same thickness, tests have proved wear rate is increased dramatically. In most applications you can expect between 20 and 24 times longer wear in most applications.
Customers use stainless and NI Hard tiles for the convenience of just bolting, however, the wear rate is reduced.
Customer use cemented on ceramic tiles, however, tiles are lost due to impact.
The solution is Belle Liners. These give you both the convenience of bolting but with the wear rate of ceramic.
