2. Mold Design Key points:
The basic structure of plastic parts is rectangular irregular narrow frame plastic parts. Plastic parts have no slider and inclined top, mold structure is relatively simple. Due to the irregular shape of the plastic parts, its dimensional tolerance is strict, as shown in Figure 2. In Figure 2, some important assembly dimensions and center distance dimensions are marked with tolerances. SC in the box behind the dimensions represents special characteristics, which can also be understood as important dimensions.
Mold design, the first need to analyze the plastic parts, for the mold structure has a preliminary reasonable judgment. This set of mold has no complex structure, the main difficulty is the analysis of the opening direction, further is the parting surface design of plastic parts. There are 6 U-shaped posts on the edge of the plastic parts, which are oriented towards the front die and the back die of the mould respectively, resulting in the complexity of the parting surface. There are two flat cylindrical columns on one side of the plastic parts, which are easy to stick.
The gating system of the mold adopts the latent gate, as shown in Figure 7. In order to adapt to the mold structure that the front die is pumped first, A distance is separated between the mold panel and plate A, and the front die is pumped first to reduce the sealing force of the insert on the flat cylinder. Therefore gate set of end face with A board formation of separatist movement, so need grinding out 2 taper in the circumference of A circle. The spring between the panel and A plate is designed to separate the driving force, and the plug screw is used as the limit. A plate and B plate are designed to be tensioned by nylon buckle, so that the panel and A plate are separated first, and the front mold is pumped first;
