This product is a calcium salt of L-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid, a folic acid vitamin (vitamin B9, folic acid), which is a coenzyme form of folic acid. Calcium l-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) is a naturally produced salt methyl derivative form of folic acid. 5-MTHF is also known as l-methylfolic acid. It is the most biologically active and functional form of folic acid and is easier to absorb than ordinary folic acid.
1. Mainly used as folic acid antagonist (such as methotrexate, pyrimidine and oxygen benzyl methyl benzyl organism, etc.) the antidote, clinical commonly used in prevention of high-dose methotrexate or excessive caused by severe toxic effect after treatment.
2. Used for folic acid treatment for the following diseases, such as inflammatory diarrhea, protein-energy malnutrition (malnutrition), gestational period or infant macrocytic anaemia caused by infancy.
3. As adjuvant therapy for colon cancer and rectal cancer.
4. Combined with 5-fu to treat digestive tract tumors or other 5-fu sensitive tumors.The combination of large dose CF and 5-fu (LF scheme) is the basic plan for the treatment of colon and rectal cancer.
5. It is used in the treatment of large doses of MTX, such as leukemia, lymphoma and osteosarcoma.
