Wollastonite is a triclinal system of fine platy crystals with radial or fibrous aggregates. The color is white, sometimes with a light gray, reddish hue. Vitreous lustre, cleavage face shows pearl lustre. Hardness 4.5 ~ 5.5, density 2.75 ~ 3.10g/cm3. Completely soluble in concentrated hydrochloric acid. Generally acid, alkali and chemical resistance.
